Please Allow Me to Introduce Myself . . .

Hello All: I’m Scott Fine, the new Netcentric Advocacy Coordinator here at Netcentric Campaigns.

I started my grassroots organizing career in Minneapolis, MN, where I founded MN Writes, an all volunteer grassroots media advocacy and citizen lobbying organization. I was also a founding member of the Minnesota Democratic Party Meetup Organization, for which I served as Statewide Agenda & Materials Coordinator for their 30+ monthly events.

Since moving to the Washington, DC area I’ve worked as a researcher with the Federal Legislation Clinic at Georgetown Law School, and later for the American Nurses Association Government Affairs department as a Political Technology Consultant.

I studied Computer Science at Minneapolis Technical College, and Political Psychology (mass behavior, branding, and messaging) at the University of Minnesota. I joined the GMT/Netcentric Advocacy team because of my life-long interest in the intersection of technology, culture, communication, and social change.

My methodology is based on solid technical fundamentals which capitalize on empirical cornerstones of branding, messaging, and mass behavior and lessons learned as a grassroots organizer.

I am also a musician and in my “spare” time, I run an online record label.  I live in Silver Spring, Maryland with my fiancée Shannon and our many cats.

I’m very much looking forward to getting to know you all as the Netcentric community rolls along . . .
